How to build a vibrating screen

vibrating screen

Building a vibrating screen requires a combination of mechanical design, material selection, and manufacturing processes. The following are detailed steps and precautions:

1. Designing a vibrating screen

(1) Determine the requirements

Screening materials: clarify the characteristics of the material (such as particle size, moisture, and viscosity).

Screening capacity: determine the amount of material that needs to be processed per hour.

Screening accuracy: select the mesh size according to the screening requirements.

(2) Select the vibration method

Linear vibrating screen: suitable for screening dry or wet materials.

Circular vibrating screen: suitable for screening of medium and fine particles.

High-frequency vibrating screen: suitable for screening and dehydration of fine particles.

(3) Design structure

Screen box size: determine the length, width, and height of the screen box according to the processing volume.

Number of screen layers: single or multi-layer screens to achieve multi-stage screening.

Vibration motor: select the appropriate vibration motor model and quantity.

Support device: design springs or rubber shock absorbers to reduce vibration transmission.

2. Material preparation

Screen box material: usually carbon steel or stainless steel (corrosion resistant) is used.

Screen material: Choose wire mesh, polyurethane mesh or rubber mesh according to the material characteristics.

Vibration motor: Choose the appropriate power and excitation force.

Spring or rubber shock absorber: Used for support and vibration reduction.

3. Manufacturing steps

(1) Make the screen box

Cut and weld the screen box frame according to the design drawings.

Install the screen bracket inside the screen box to ensure that the screen is replaceable.

(2) Install the screen

Fix the screen on the bracket inside the screen box to ensure that the tension is appropriate.

For multiple layers of screens, pay attention to the layer spacing and the screen inclination angle.

(3) Install the vibration motor

Fix the vibration motor on both sides or the bottom of the screen box to ensure symmetrical installation.

Adjust the eccentric block angle of the vibration motor to control the vibration direction and intensity.

(4) Install the vibration reduction device

Install the spring or rubber shock absorber at the bottom of the screen box to ensure stable operation of the equipment.

Adjust the height of the shock absorber to keep the screen box level.

(5) Assemble other components

Install the feed and discharge ports to ensure smooth material flow.

Install the protective cover to ensure safe operation of the equipment.

4. Debugging and testing

(1) No-load test

Start the vibrating screen and check whether the vibration motor runs smoothly.

Observe the vibration of the screen box to ensure that there is no abnormal noise or shaking.

(2) Load test

Add materials for screening test and check the screening effect.

Adjust the eccentric block angle and shock absorber height of the vibration motor to optimize the screening efficiency.

(3) Check the screen

Observe whether the screen is loose or damaged, and adjust or replace it in time.

5. Precautions

Material selection: Select appropriate materials according to the characteristics of the material to avoid corrosion or wear.

Vibration balance: Ensure that the vibration motor is installed symmetrically to avoid unbalanced vibration of the screen box.

Safety protection: Install a protective cover to prevent operators from contacting moving parts.

Regular maintenance: Check the screen, vibration motor and vibration reduction device, and replace worn parts in time.

6. Application scenarios

Vibrating screens are widely used in the following fields:

Mining industry: ore classification and screening.

Chemical industry: classification and filtration of powders and particles.

Food industry: screening of grains and condiments.

Environmental protection industry: solid waste treatment and sewage treatment.

Summary

Building a vibrating screen requires control of the entire process from design, material selection, manufacturing to commissioning. Through reasonable design and manufacturing, an efficient and durable vibrating screen can be created to meet the screening needs of different industries.
